Paul Crawford Award Winner 2016: Mr. Dao Minh Doan, R.A – California Champion Award

On behalf of the Congress for the New Urbanism California Chapter, we wish to congratulation Mr. Dao Doan on being awarded our 2016 CNU – California Champion Award. We truly admire his dedication to his craft and for his selfless support of our CNU – California Chapter. This award honors Mr. Doan’s volunteer work and giving of his time and expertise to the cities of Livingston, Newport Beach, and Oxnard. We appreciate his work to date and look forward to his leadership of the New Urbanism into the 21st century.
Mr. Doan is tremendously passionate in reviving California’s towns and cities and most notably in Ventura, Oxnard and the Central Coast. As a Senior Principal of Main Street Architects + Planners, Inc., he led the firm’s urban design and architectural efforts. In addition, it is his outstanding leadership of our CNU – California Annual By-Design Charrettes that is being applauded with this award.
